PUPPIES : Double the daily ration based on the puppy’s current weight, but never exceed the total quantity the dog should eat once at his adult weight.
Example : A golden retriever puppy expected to be 27 kg when adult should not eat more than 2 cups per day.

What does dehydrated raw mean?
The word raw means that we use the same untransformed and unrefined ingredients as those used in quality frozen raw diets : fresh human grade ingredients as opposed to processed powdered ingredients. Raw also indicates that the first part of the manufacturing process is exactly the same as that of quality frozen raw diets. The word dehydrated designates the last part of the manufacturing process. In this case, a low temperature dehydration instead of freezing.
Why make dehydrated raw pet food?
Extruded kibbles account for most of the pet food sold on the market because they are convenient to feed. However, the extrusion process used to make them kills most of the original nutrients. Frozen raw diets are gaining in popularity because they preserve all of the original nutrients and yield tremendous health benefits to your dog. Dehydrated raw foods are designed to bridge the gap between kibble and frozen raw.
The Hurraw dehydratation process
There are two common methods used for dehydrating pet food today, namely air drying and freeze drying. Unfortunately, they have two undesirable effects on the finish product : they either make the food very expensive to feed, or render the food in a powder form that requires rehydration. The idea is great, but the execution isn’t there yet. Until now!
The key to Hurraw’s success is in our new manufacturing process. After 14 years of experience in dehydration, our team created in 2017 a new process that is a hybrid between freeze drying and air drying. By making a partial vacuum in our dehydrators, which pulls the water out of the food, we are able to significantly reduce the temperature of the air required to carry away the humidity. This means a nutrient preservation that rivals freeze drying, but at a manufacturing cost that is significantly less.
Thanks to that innovation, Hurraw can offer you a pet food that is completely unique on the market. Hurraw is fed as a kibble, without the need to rehydrate, and at a cost per serving that is the same or even lower than a lot of kibbles on the market. So without changing your budget, you can now observe on your dog health results that are comparable to those provided by a frozen raw diet.
